When we first started reading “The Hiding Place” By: Corrie Ten Boom with John & Elizabeth Sherrill it was a little boring. Then as we got into a few more chapters we decided that this book was full of information about being a Christian and about what Christians sometimes suffer through.

In this book Corrie Ten Boom and her family own a watch shop. There home is called the Beje. They are a Christian family. Corrie and her family start helping Jews hide from the Nazi’s. They are eventually caught and arrested. All of the family is released from prison except her father and sister Betsie, they died in prison, and Corrie was released from prison by mistake, one week after her dismissal all persons her age were sent to the gas chambers. Her sister and her were able to keep their Bible or the 4 gospels with them during this time. And just when they thought they would be caught with it….. GOD protected them.

Corrie and her sister Betsie mentored to hundreds of women prisoners during their time is prison and they also asked for God’s guidance during this time.

So the true “hiding” place was with Jesus Christ.

Corrie was a courageous Christian women that became a hero of the anti-Nazi underground.
